Dehumidify

To remove moisture from the air.


Dehydrate

To remove water from cannabis plants' foliage.


Deplete

To exhaust soil of nutrients, making it infertile - once the soil is used to grow a cannabis garden, it is depleted.


Desiccate

To cause to dry up - insecticidal soap desiccates its victims.


Detergent

Liquid soap concentrate used as a wetting agent for sprays and water or a pesticide - detergent must be totally organic to be safe for cannabis plants.


Dewaxing

The process of removing waxes and lipid fats from concentrates to create a purer, more stable product - dewaxing is typically conducted when creating shatter.

Diapause

A period of cannabis plant dormancy during which growth or development is suspended or diminished.


Diesel

It is a Sativa strain named after its pungent diesel-like aroma - it a great pick for those looking for a mood-boosting high with a heightened clarity of mind and the most well-known variety of diesel is 'Sour Diesel.'

Diffuser

A component of many bubblers, bongs, and water pipes that aids in cooling the smoke prior to inhalation, thus making it a smoother hit for your lungs. The diffuser is usually located at the bottom of the downstem, touching the water, and this diffusion allows for air to escape. There are several different types of diffusers, some with more holes than others, but all of them have the same purpose: to provide additional surface area for the formation of bubbles, which helps air flow through the smoking device for a smoother hit.

Dioecious

A population consisting of gynoecious and androecious plants.
