Ruderalis is one of the three species of cannabis besides Indica and Sativa. Originally, Ruderalis was considered as a wild breed of cannabis that can survive human activities and even adapt to extremely harsh conditions. The plant has small leaves and a short stature that only grows to about 2 feet (or .6 meter) tall hence the name dwarf cannabis. Ruderalis most notable characteristic is its ability to begin flowering based on changes in the plant instead of its environment (auto-flowering). The plant has low Tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC) concentrations making it less favorable for recreational or medical use. It’s native origin is traced back in Russia.
